On getting older and sicker

I'll admit I haven't thought about this very much, but there are words you never want to hear your doctor say when reporting test results.

• Malignant
• Inoperable
• Incurable
• Irreversible
• End-stage
• Terminal
• Degenerative

I guess I'm lucky. Most of my problems are complications of Diabetes. Degenerative. No joke, but not immediately life-threatening.
